Ryan Drew Blood Early, Then Cruised to Victory Over Unsteady, Flustered Biden
Forbes ^ | 10/12/2012 | John Tamny

bout halfway through last night’s debate between Congressman Paul Ryan and Vice President Joe Biden, the VP’s answers – and his unsteady countenance – revealed someone who felt he’d lost. Biden’s pre-debate spin was that he would enter in attack mode, eager to make up for his boss’s universally panned performance the week before.

The problem for Biden was that Ryan drew blood fairly early, thus making any attacks seem desperate. In that case, wobbly after a few blows from Ryan that he couldn’t effectively answer, Biden’s tone took on a yelling quality; the yelling an attack substitute for substantive points that he was unable to make.

Compare this to Congressman Ryan. Whether viewers agreed with him or not, he seemed bigger than the debate, and his slightly unhinged partner. Whatever the question, Ryan had a quick answer or answers, and replies came in a calm, measured tone.

Even worse for Biden, and one can imagine President Obama cringing from afar, as Ryan scored points, Biden took to laughing in an uncontrollable way. Well aware that he lacked a mind quick enough to respond to the myriad jabs of his more nimble competitor, Biden presumably felt his laughs and smirks would effectively communicate what he couldn’t in terms of words, and well-crafted arguments.

The shame about the debate was that Martha Raddatz perhaps focused too much on foreign policy. Sorry, but a country full of the war weary, not to mention the economically scared, seemingly wanted a more substantive debate that covered the economic issues more in depth. As for Ryan, what a shame that he had to promote his own boss’s mostly trivial economic plan that amounts to ideas that are economically backwards (“energy independence”), potentially economy crushing (cracking down on China),

The Lies of Biden were Legion - I loved the one where he declared that no one in the Catholic Church or a Catholic agency would have to fund abortion under Obamacare.

At that point, Biden became the pure definition of a bald faced lie.

“plan that amounts to ideas that are economically backwards (“energy independence”)”

How interesting the country’s elite seem so against “energy independence” and the independence that would provide the average joe suburbanite.

Yes.....Paul Ryan won the debate handily on a few different fronts. But more importantly, IMHO, Joe Biden lost the debate in body language and substance. Obama/Biden will lose re-election come, November 6, 2012!!! Both men are flawed, unbalanced, immature, without compassion and dignity and are incapable of effective leadership.

The first two debates have been devastating for the Obama/Biden quest.....but, the Libya “Slaughter/Murder” incident will sink, not only Obama, but large portions of the Democrat Party!!! And...Black Americans, unless they change quickly, will be politically adrift at sea for many years to come!!! Fact is, under Obama/Biden they have been adrift at sea, both politically and economically, held hostage on the “Obama” economic slave plantation!!!

It is unbelievable that the nation we live in, could have ever voted into political power such incompetent, anti-American dirt bags. That cold hearted, evil, POTUS Obama has no respect, sympathy or admiration for the four USA public servants and military personnel that, while he stood by, and did nothing to protect them, they were slaughtered/murdered on his watch in cold blood!!!

I look and listen to the families of these lost heroes and the way Obama is treating them...and I say to the Lord.....bring justice to this hate America, POTUS, Obama and his cohorts in the Democrat Party and Administration. Justice is not for me to hand out. That action is is the hands of our almighty Lord, our father in heaven!!! I pray for our dead and their beloved families!!! And.....I pray for my nation!!!

John Tamny appears to be a Keyenes fan. He doesn’t realize that he’s the dinosaur writing for Forbes.

She's a member of the 1%, the economy's fine in her world.

“Black Americans, unless they change quickly, will be politically adrift at sea for many years to come!!! “

They need to become conservatives and become liberated. The Democrat Party needs to slide into the dustbin of history along with it's ideological father Marxism.

Market economies bring freedom and prosperity. The Democrats stand for policies that being bread lines, gas lines, medical clinic lines, and overall drabness and weakness.

What ired me to no end was the constant follow up questions to Ryan by the moderator attempting to provide an avenue for Biden to follow up on. Fortunately, as he continued to smile and laugh, his ear canals were stopped up.

Proverbs 29:8-10

King James Version (KJV)

8 Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath.

9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest.

10 The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul.

From the American Thinker:

***********

His smile was frightening. For most of the night Joe Biden looked like the Joker — Nicholson not Ledger.

After 3 ½ years of Biden’s playing the fool, it is hard to remember he was once considered a serious man, a serious politician. But...Barack wasn’t looking for a serious politician — he wanted a court jester — and that’s what he got.

Now, after playing the fool for so long he has become the fool. Yet, in the debate he wanted to again be a serious man — or at least play one on TV. He clearly showed why Clint Eastwood called him the “intellect” of the Democrat Party.
