2 YEARS ago:
The wedding of Sally Quinn and [Vice President at-large of the Washington Post] Ben Bradlee's son, Quinn Bradlee, to Georgetown yoga instructor Pary Williamson has been moved up by six months, from October to April 10.
"We found out that we have a little one coming on the way and Pary didn't want to be a big mama walking down the aisle," the father-to-be told me by phone from La Sammana, the posh Caribbean resort on St. Martins, where the four are on vacation. Asked if he's excited by the prospect of fatherhood, Quinn said, "I am, very much so." The wedding will be held at the Washington National Cathedral.
The new date has caused some family friction because it's the same day as the long-planned California wedding of lawyer Greta Bradlee, who very much hoped her grandfather would be there. Ben's firstborn grandchild (he has 10) and the first to marry, she is the daughter of journalist and author Ben Bradlee Jr. of Cambridge, Mass., and his former wife, Washington-based ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz. Ben Jr. is the oldest of the three children the longtime executive editor of the Washington Post sired during his two pre-Sally marriages.
The parents of the bride declined to comment on any aspect of the dueling weddings, but other sources told me there was no advance word from Sally about the scheduling change, nor any explanation provided as to why she had settled on a date for her son's ceremony that will prevent her husband from attending his granddaughter's wedding in California.
Sally, who writes extensively about both social and moral matters, briefly mentioned her son's April nuptials in her Feb. 11 Washington Post column on entertaining, but for the most part she waxed rhapsodic about the quiet beauty of the city's record snowfall and the cozy comfort of meals at home with family and friends. When I called La Samanna seeking more wedding details, Quinn said his mother was asleep. When we did speak later, she had little to add. "We have decided together, we weren't going to talk about the wedding." That news blackout includes how she arrived at the April 10 date. "We have a lot of great things that will happen that day and we want them to be a surprise."................

Sally Quinn: ..."On February 19, 2010, The Washington Post published "Sally Quinn's The Party: No 'dueling' Bradlee weddings, just scheduling mistake", in print and online. This was Quinn's last column for the printed newspaper. The column alluded to Bradlee family dysfunction, her son's wedding, which she scheduled on the same day as the wedding of her husband's granddaughter. The column was considered inappropriate and reader backlash was immediate, criticizing Quinn for airing family laundry and Washington Post editors for printing it. By February 24, the Post canceled her column, which had been appearing in the religion section of the print edition....."
Martha Raddatz with three husbands and a family tree entwined with multiple news organizations and Washington power contacts -- talk about being plugged in -- is given a pass and qualified as a fair news anchor to host a vice presidential debate. Right.

"[Martha] Raddatz served as the moderator of the Vice Presidential debate on October 11, 2012, between Paul Ryan and Joe Biden at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. Her former husband, Julius Genachowski, went to law school with Barack Obama who was a guest at her wedding, but neither campaign thought it would have any effect on the debate, since the pair had divorced a decade earlier. ----- [Yet Raddatz and Genachowski have a son in common]
"[Martha] Raddatz resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her third husband, journalist [with National Public Television] Tom Gjelten ["Gjelten has worked for NPR since 1982, when he joined the organization as a labor and education reporter. More recently he has covered diplomatic and national security issues, based out of NPR's Washington, D.C., headquarters."] . [Raddatz] has two children from previous relationships: a daughter, Greta Bradlee, with Benjamin Bradlee, Jr. and a son, Jake Genachowski. She was previously married to Julius Genachowski, father of Jake and current head of the FCC under the Obama Administration. Additionally, Raddatz was previously married to Ben Bradlee, Jr., the father of Greta. Bradlee is Projects Editor for The Boston Globe...." Source

Raddatz Visited Biden at His Residence in March "White House records reveal that the moderator of last night's vice presidential debate, Martha Raddatz, visited Vice President Joe Biden at his official residence on March 26, 2012. Raddatz is an employee of ABC News.
As the records show, that day Raddatz visited the VPR (or, the vice president's residence) for a "Women's History Month Reception." That record was released on June 29, 2012.
According to Biden's schedule released the day before the event, "the Vice President and Dr. Jill Biden will host a reception in honor of Womens History Month at the Naval Observatory."
There appears to be no pool report from the event, which presumably was widely attended, that might have recorded the details from the events.
On at least one other occasion, Raddatz visited the White House. According to records, that visit was on December 18, 2009. The reason for that visit is not know, though her meeting appears to have taken place in the Old Executive Office Building, and not the West Wing.
Before last night's debate, Raddatz came under scrutiny after the Daily Caller revealed she had attended President Barack Obama's wedding in 1991 with her now ex-husband, Obama administration official Julius Genachowski." --- [her son Jake's dad]
CORRECTION: ....[with National Public RADIO] Tom Gjelten .....
The problem is the Republican elites don’t want to be ridiculed and drummed out of the club. Why couldn’t they have insisted that someone like Brit Hume be the moderator for one of the debates?
What an incestuous cesspool that washington has become. We need to delouse that place.
My brain was turning to jello posting this.
So, perhaps, she's just simply unstable!
She must be very, very rich......

New York The day before the vice presidential debate, the guest list for moderator Martha Raddatzs 1991 wedding has become an issue, of sorts.
The list included Harvard Law School student and future president Barack Obama. ...

“Before last night’s debate, Raddatz came under scrutiny after the Daily Caller revealed she had attended President Barack Obama’s wedding in 1991 with her now ex-husband, Obama administration official Julius Genachowski.” “
We need do determine exactly what conversation took place at the wedding between Obama and Raddatz.
Did they conspire to stack the deck at a future presidential of vice-presidential debate by having Raddatz be the moderator?
May there have been a cash sum disguised as a wedding gift that exchanged hands as payment for preferential treatment at that future debate?
She was previously married to Julius Genachowski, father of Jake and current head of the FCC under the Obama Administration — and former classmate and friend (both attended the Obama’s wedding).
Obama has known her (the VP Debate moderator) nearly as long as he attended his mentor Jeremiah Wright’s “church”.
“.....Now, after the debate, Raddatz has been criticized for “interrupting [Paul Ryan] 31 times” and even CNN called the moderator “the third debater.”........

iT used to be’’ the Military Industrial Complex was the great fear of the Left.. now the right has right to fear the ‘Corporate Media Big Gubamint Complex’.
I prefer an enemy I can vanquish and not worry about them resurfacing, only to stab you in the back.
Sadly, the modern day media doesn’t... but they don’t represent you or I.
Nope, today it’s bottom lines and agendas and agendas has the edge.
Incestuous relationships like the one the media has with the DEms are not healthy for a free and transparent form of governance.
It stinks to high heaven.
The wedding thing is suspicious and provides a perfect opportunity for money in the form of a bribe to exchange hands.
These bribes should be investigated by a Special Prosecutor or a House Committee.
I think that is a stretch US.
