I had to laugh at Brit Hume et al who said Joe Biden is the nicest man and that his behavior last night was inappropriate. Sorry, Brit and others, if you’re nice you don’t act that way, even for your boss. Haven't heard anyone mention this, but Biden's "performance" made me think of my grandchildren and what I would wish them to learn from these debates. In that regard, what a sorry example for the youth of America Biden presented in how to discuss and debate principles and issues with an opponent!

As I stated on another thread today:

Considering that one of these men might, on a moment's notice, be required to sit with the leader of another nation contesting for liberty, every citizen who watched Biden should be seriously concerned.

Actually, in my opinion, there was little difference between Biden's performance and that of Obama, in that both were disrespectful and derisive. One's expression showed a sullen, resentful, petulant attitude. The other displayed an equally appalling disconnect between the seriousness of the discussion and emotional stability and expression.

Both were arrogant and may have underestimated the innate intelligence of millions of citizen/voters of the United States of America and their ability to recognize the difference between bravado and substance of character, respect for others, and seriousness of the challenges to America's liberty.

Freepers will go crazy about what I am going to assert, but please read my whole post before reacting. I believe Brit Hume when he says that Joe Biden is a nice man and I happen to know a few good people who know Biden and swear he is a kind person. I think the problem with Joe Biden stems less from malice than from some real, serious mental problem. I am not being cute or making fun of the disabled when I say that Biden reminds me of people I have know who sustained brain injuries and (supposedly) recovered, but were never the same. He has the goofy affect of a teenager and the impulse control of a young child. In addition, he just doesn't seem that bright.

I agree with Rush's take on Dems in general — they are mean and they do hate conservatives — but I think Biden is, well, just brain damaged...which makes it all the more terrifying that he is a heartbeat away from the Presidency.

I agree with you that Ol’ Joe is not bright AT ALL. He has the mean streak going for him and that’s what the Dems count on. It’s been said over and over, liberalism is a mental disease and Joe proves it. He’s a buffoon, a bully, and stupid beyond belief.

Mean Joe was very much the fact of the Democrat party last evening and its activists don't understand at all why anyone should find that objectionable. Rush is correct:

The Democrat base is made up of people who literally hate Republicans.

What is equally true is that what the country saw was very much the face of the mainstream media in Martha Raddatz - obviously biased, apparently oblivious to it, and actively working to promote her party. It was a stinging refutation of the claim that party preference doesn't bleed over into professional behavior. I get the sense that it dawned on some MSM types for the first time that this is what we've been complaining about for all this time. I don't get the sense they have any intention of doing anything about it.

This is what happens when you stay in the cesspool of D.C. too long. Hume has heard the lies so many times that he, as a normal human being, begins to believe this crapola. This is an example of conservatives who really are not living, breathing their conservatism. Their core values only goes until 5 oclock. Then at the watering hole they suck up to the suck up of the day. Brit has made many other statements similar. He has lost my respect as a true conservative long ago. He should have listened to RUSH today for some incite outside of D.C.
