RUSH: Let's look at a little polling data. Romney is now up seven in Virginia. A new poll from McLaughlin Associates, it's highlighted at Breitbart: Romney up seven in Virginia, 11 points with independents. Real Clear Politics, now, has moved Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin to toss-up status from leans Obama. Michigan, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Wisconsin, to toss-up status. I know people living in Pennsylvania, they can't believe this. Well, I know one guy who lives in Pennsylvania who does believe it. I know one guy who lives in Pennsylvania who thinks Romney's gonna win. I know another guy who's from Pennsylvania that thinks it's not possible. It doesn't matter. Obama doesn't have it locked up. He doesn't have Michigan locked up. He doesn't have New Hampshire or Wisconsin locked up. They've move to toss-up from leaning Obama.

Everything's moving away from Obama. He's got seven states, including California and New York, that he has locked down according to the Real Clear Politics poll. And it's the same in Florida, Romney is up seven in Florida. So the Suffolk University polling unit: pulled out of North Carolina, pulled out of Florida, and Real Clear Politics has not yet given those states to Romney. They're waiting for other data. And not that they should. I'm just telling you it's gonna happen, it just hasn't happened yet.

But Suffolk University pulled out: we're not gonna waste any money polling in Virginia, Florida, or North Carolina. Those states are leaning Romney, are now, they say, gone for Obama. Here we are three weeks out, we're looking at Romney 51 points, the magic 50% number has been hit by the challenger. This is when the pollsters start telling you their stuff really is accurate and it really matters. There's other polling data to cite as well.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: More polling data, a survey from ARG. Romney now 49 to 46 in Florida and a 50-46 lead in New Hampshire. Suffolk University polling says Florida's over. New Hampshire, Romney, 50%. Yep. New Hampshire, Romney 50 to 46.

(interruption)

I know they have. I know they've been saying Romney is losing. The bottom line is Obama is sitting there right now with a lock on seven to nine states. That's it. The toss-ups are Florida, that's Romney, North Carolina, that's Romney, Virginia, that's Romney, Wisconsin, that's trending Romney.

Pennsylvania, there are people who actually live in Pennsylvania that think Romney's gonna win this thing. Some don't; some do. Missouri probably gonna be Romney. Still a toss-up. I don't want to say too much right now 'cause it's still a long way to go, but... (whispering) it's gonna be a blowout. I didn't say that. You didn't hear me say it. No, I said, (whispering) "It could be a blowout."

I didn't say it.

I think zero will end up with less than 200 EVs when the dust settles. My guess: 175.

I will be surprised if WI sticks with Obumagabe, I really will. Just hard to believe after the big Walker showdown that people up there would cede the state back to the D column. But I’m just talkin’... who knows?

Checking in with my nail technician poll. For those who do not know about this poll, I have been getting my nails done by the same woman since the 80s. She claims that she have voted for the winner of the presidential election each and every election since 1980. So of course I’m interested. I was there yesterday and yes she had watched the debate and was very impressed with Romney and said he was very nice to look at and she thought she could be okay with looking at him for the next four years but no, she still had to stick with Obama. As I was leaving and went back to pay her I told her that I wished that the VP debate required the two contenders to debate naked from the waste up since Ryan was doing heavy duty training and was ripped. The little old lady who was getting her nails done said, yes, he’s ripped, I’ve seen the photos. He does p90x. I thought that was a hoot. I haven’t talked with her since last night but oh, the one complaint she had about Romney was he smiled too much. LOL

I live outside of Philly and commute every day into the city. I am telling you, you cannot find more than a handful of signs and stickers. 2 or 3. In Montco the Romney signs far outnumber Obama.

I agree with you 100 percent in terms of Wisconsin. I drove through the state before the Recall election and yard signs were everywhere - on cars, in yards, on billboards. That election turned neighbor against neighbor and I don’t, for one minute, believe the people who voted Scott Walker in by a larger margin than the original election are suddenly going to vote Obama. The Dems crossed a line with the recall and fired up voters who may have been on the fence before. Barring gross fraud, Wisconsin goes Romney.

Here from the great state of Wisconsin I can tell you both that there are plenty of R/R signs out, two in my front yard along our busy road in a very red county, north of Milwaukee. I need to get my empty chair out soon, to finalize the deal. haa.

You are quite right. We've been through heck with the very nasty recall of Walker and the enthusiasm this time for R/R is the very same. No one that voted for Walker is voting for Zero and Bite Me. Same attitude as in June here. Total strangers start talking to you about politics and discussing important issues, too. Amazing. Never have I seen anything like this, so hopefully we can send R/R our state and we'll try to get ONE more US Senator for the GOP in Tommy Thompson to replace our retiring Dem. We're all busy working, paying our fair share and we are darn proud of Paul Ryan, too. We'll do it for the good of the USA.

How's that for an answer of optimism.
