I suspect that a lot of these monsters created the car trouble at a rest stop then followed and struck.

I grew up on a large farm, so I’m not uncomfortable when in the woods or in a large forest or national park. I don’t think you’re wrong to carry protection though. It’s our constitutionally framed right. I’d rather be just right, than dead right.
