Actually it’s just a pride thing at this point. Black people in this country voted for Obama almost exclusively because of the historical significance of electing the first African-American.
When you are so heavily invested in Obama, you put the blinders on and look straight past a hugely failed President. Nobody wants to be wrong and very few want to openly admit they were wrong. There were still some people that hung on to the miserable failure of Jimmy Carter up until a few years ago.
The only question is how many votes Zero will lose due to Slaveman’s ad.

I can’t stand listening to Freeman exactly because of that phony, superficial gravitas he goes for. It’s like listening to Dan Rather. When what you are reading or saying need a lot of tinsel draped all over it it probably is bull$hit.

When the sum total of your reading material is your own press clippings, this is what happens. More proof that professional pretenders like Freeman are way better off saying only what others write for them, and doing only what others tell them to do.
The irony, of course, is that success at that is what got them to believe they actually had brains of their own.

Why are we supposed to judge by the content of someone's character when blacks obviously feel color is more important?
Sure, a number are looking for the freebies. They feel they’re owed. But there are a number who are deluded enough (and strung along by race-baiters) who think great injustices are still being done to them. In their minds, Obama will right these wrongs. I’m not excusing it, I’m just saying what I think a lot of them believe. They’ll never get anywhere with Obama, but they think they will. No amount of facts and reason will dissuade them.
