It’s not about the content of one’s character, it’s about the color of one’s skin. To many, this is the exclusive agitating factor.

When it comes down to it, there are a VERY few blacks where the black thing doesn’t trump EVERYTHING else!

It goes a little beyond racism. For many black Americans I think it goes further than just voting for another "black" American. I get the feeling they believe with a "black" president, justice will somehow be done where it wasn't done under preceding presidents. Somehow Obama will see their problems and help them whereas all the other presidents, all white, (except for maybe Bill Clinton) couldn't or wouldn't help them.
In short, they believe in the power of Big Government to solve their problems. That they're actually worse off under Obama does not register in their consciousness. Their thinking is that despite the present problems, eventually, Obama will make things right. He won't, he'll make a worse situation worse because socialism always makes things worse, but I doubt they see it that way.
