I was giving the PLAUSIBLE reason the the Current Regime would want to even get into place in Jordan. You are right, should Iran launch a pre-emptive strike agains Israel, the Current Occupant almost certainly would try to suppress any second-strike capability Israel attempts to bring to bear.
And do not doubt that no matter how crippling a first strike that Iran might launch, Israel has the capability to hit back with a second strike many times more devastating.
