Klein: Clinton-Obama rift intensifies after Libya, Obama’s debate performance

The latest quarrel began when Clinton heard that Obama was behaving so cocky about his first debate against Mitt Romney that he wasn’t taking his debate prep seriously. Out of concern, Clinton had an aide call the White House and say that the former president would be more than happy to give the current president some pointers and advice on how to get the best of Romney.

Clinton waited several days for a response, but none was forthcoming. According to my sources, the former president was dumbfounded that Obama had ignored his offer, and his hurt feelings quickly boiled over into anger.

“Bill thought that he and Obama were on friendly terms after the convention,” one source told me. “He couldn’t believe that the White House didn’t even extend him the courtesy of a return phone call. He concluded that Obama’s arrogance knows no bounds.”

I don’t think clinton cares about her in the slightest.

No more (or less) than he ever did. I think their marriage has never been more than a political convenience. A fantasy for public consumption they dreamed up together after they met in college. He never wanted to be tied down and she's a lesbian - their only child the product of marital rape. Nothing has changed for them personally except she may have lost her ambition to be President.

Talk about poetic justice. Looks like Obama has gotten what he wanted from the Clintons and now he’s left them with a busted lip. Perhaps the only difference is, they were willing participants. Hey, Bill. ‘You might want to put some ice on that’.

It’s amazing that former Democrat presidents just can’t retire quietly and let the current president alone.

Although, I don’t remember LBJ sticking his nose in everything like Clinton & Carter. I guess he realized he had screwed up things enough already.

So why is Bubba campaigning for Zero in Ohio now? Is it all to protect his own financial interests?

First I have heard of this. Darn, wish he would not do that, people still like Bill Clinton.

This is a fluid situation.

If Obama is throwing Hillary under the bus (and that has already happened), I don't think Bill will campaign for him in Ohio.

LBJ’s health was not great and there is some question if he could survive another term. He died in 1973. And there was much rejoicing.

But yes, I really do wish that Carter and Clinton would just go away quietly. Clinton is amoral but Carter is plain evil.
