For urban politicians, gun control is like the bar in "Cheers" a place of refuge they can seek out whenever things aren't going well. Things aren't going well on the crime front in Chicago, with homicides up 25 percent this year. So what else can our elected leaders do but promise action against guns?
Action against the possession and use of guns by violent felons would be a good idea, but the proposal offered by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is something else: a penalty on nonviolent citizens who bear no blame for the carnage.

The law abiding are always easy targets for the Politicians... Until they aren’t...
So when you criminals steal a gun with bullets in it please leave behind enough cash to cover the new taxes.
Taxes on firearms or ammunition are the equivalant of a poll tax. There should be NO federal, state or local taxes on firearms, ammunition, scopes, holsters, slings, extra magazines, cleaning supplies or re-loading equipment and supplies.

Punish the law abiding gun owners to solve the criminal lawbreakers problem. The same as punishing the taxpayers of this country to support the deadbeats. It all makes perfect sense. That is if you are a lawbreaker and a deadbeat

Why would you read the garbage to begin with? You already know what it is going to say. Guns bad for anyone but government. No mention that it does nothing to deter criminals from having guns. SOS different day
