I don’t know what the D/R/I % are in Ohio but it could well be there are more Dems then Reps registered. That said being registered one way or the other is not a guarantee of how one will vote.

Here is what John Zogby said about Ohio......

snip.....
But it’s the independent vote that really matters in the Buckeye State, he says. When asked how important the independent vote is for Ohio, Zogby tells Newsmax: “Extremely important. For starters, Ohio does not have registration by political party. People will identify themselves as Democrats or Republicans but most voters in Ohio are independents.”

Zogby says he’s seen the state go from being up for grabs to solidly in Obama’s corner to now, up for grabs again...

end snips

UnSkewed Polling Data Sunday, October 14, 2012 10:25:49 AM. Romney +3.8

That Romney +3.8, is the average of 11 Polls and has Skewed Avg of +3.2 for Obama yet Romney is still leading. Remove the skew and Barry's really screwed.

These pollsters still include a Dem over sampling based on the huge 2008 turnout for Obama and that just ain't gonna happen again. Obama only has a lock on Nine States and DC vs Thirteen States solid for Romney and toss-up states are breaking for Romney.

Go to Real Clear Politics and make your own EC map. I did and I can see Romney getting 301 EC votes without much trouble - but natch, no major screw-ups.

Very good analysis. As you probably know Gallup changed their formula last week used to determine presidential favorability. As a result Obama hits 50 percent. The network polls have been more exaggerated than PPP or other partisan polls. This skews the RCP average which is likely their intent.

I guarantee that as we chat here, Obama’s handlers are spending FAR more time trying to coach -bama’s attitude and demeanor than they are working on his facts.

I believe that tension is going to bite him big time.
