President Barack Obama arrived in Virginia, where he plans to devote the next few days preparing for the second head-to-head debate with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
The second debate will take place in New York on Tuesday night, October 16 (Wednesday morning Israel time) and will address foreign and domestic policy. The third and final confrontation will take place in Florida on Monday, October 22 (Tuesday morning Israel time) and will focus on foreign policy...

Ryan did it right. If a man is making an ass of himself in a public debate, let him continue to do so. It’s rhetorical Jiu Jitsu. Makes you look better for refusing to stoop to his puerile games and continuing to discuss the issues rationally and with dignity, and that highlights his folly all the more.
But I don’t think Obama will do that, and it’s unsafe to assume he’ll fold up this time, too. He has debated John McCain before, and not done too badly. He didn’t win decisively so much as McCain shot himself in the head. He said “the economy is basically sound,” and two weeks later it imploded on cue.
But stupid grins and sneers are not his style. He wants to come across as the cool, distinguished brotha. Like Morgan Freeman and Friedrick Douglas, radiating style and eloquence in one well-dressed package. He isn’t that, but that’s what he’ll aim for. That’s what he believes he is.
The reality is he’s Morgan Freeman as Vincent the Vegetable Vampire from the Electric Company, illustrating the letter combos “uh” and “er” and his voice doesn’t have Morgan’s silky richness, either.
As a complete aside, having nothing to do with this or any other discussion, I AM NOT INTERESTED IN CHATTING WITH ANY REAL LIVE RUSSIAN GIRLS! I don’t care how much the “service” paid to own the words “relationship,” or “now” or whatever other key words they now have squatters rights on. Is there any way to turn this bull-s@#$ off?
