Why Wasn’t Libya Hearing on Page A1 of The Times?
nytimes ^ | 10/11 | MARGARET SULLIVAN

Stories about Wednesday’s Congressional hearing on Libya were prominently displayed on the front pages of major newspapers throughout the United States on Thursday morning.

The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post, for example, both led with the story, meaning that editors placed it in the primary news position on their front pages.

But The New York Times was not among them

Well good lord, what do you expect?

There is so much news to report other than this boring stuff.

There’s Dancing With The Stars results and what ever treat Mayor Nanny has concocted to make their lives dreamy.

Sheesh...what are ya thinking?

this is an interesting comment on Diplomad:

“Here’s a theory. It might be way off base, but I’m gonna throw it out for what it’s worth.

The National Command Authority (including the President SecDef, SecState and DNI at least, and probably a number of subordinate commands) were aware of the attack on our embassy in real time. (This is not theory — it has been substantiated.) Someone realized the attack was an act of war and urged response, but Obama (thinking “war with a Muslim nation this close to the election would not be good”) nixed that. Probably saying “we need more information.” The rest of the NCA nodded, a little angry but recognizing that Obama is not noted for leading from in front. Then they needed a cover story that did not recognize our sovereign territory had been attacked, and someone pointed out the handy coincidence of the riots in Egypt. That’s when it was decided to play that story up, to buy an advertisement in Pakistan, and to send Susan Rice out to the Sunday talk shows.

I know, its crazy. But possible. F

I really think that if the truth about this EVER comes out it will be really nasty.

The only possibilty of the truth is if Hillary and O get in P!$$ing match.

I guess it will be determined by who is driving the bus.

The NCA consists of the President and Sec Def. Further delegation can be made to the VP and DepSecDef.

The Secretary of State, DNI, etc. are not part of the NCA.

There wasn’t adequate security at Benghazi because Obama and Clinton were trying to open a dialogue with al-Qaeda in Libya to find the missing missiles. They really didn’t want the Ambassador killed. Al-Qaeda saw the reduced security and kicked our behinds to shut down the search for the missing missiles. We’re going to pay to get those missiles back. In fact, this attack may have happened to show the Obama Administration that they (al-Qaeda) are not fooling around and to drive up the price we’ll have to pay to get those missiles back. Rookies. Amateurs. Arrogant failures.

Why wasn’t this on the front page of the new York times? Because this event may well spell the end of the Democrat party, and that’s just too hard for them to contemplate.
