I’m confused. Isn’t the goal in a war to kill the enemy?

If a Taliban fighter is injured, then finish injuring him.
I am on the verge of saying that western civilization no longer deserves heroes.

Ask yourself what would the Taliban have done were the situation reversed.
End of argument.

But it’s OK for Obama to glory in the killing of unarmed and cornered Bin Laden? He should have been taken alive, if not because the action violates rules of war to kill an unarmed, cornered enemy, but for the information that could have been gotten out of him. I think Bin Laden had the goods on Obama.
