Obama holds big lead over Romney among Hispanic voters nationwide; margin much smaller in Florida
The Miami Herald ^ | 10/14/12 | Marc Caputo and Patricia Mazzei

Mitt Romney is closing the gap on President Barack Obama among likely Hispanic Florida voters, a majority of whom say they’re not better off than four years ago, according to a new Florida International University/Miami Herald/El Nuevo Herald poll.

Obama is ahead of Romney 51-44 percent among Hispanics, a relatively narrow lead that could spell trouble for a Democratic campaign that’s counting on minority support as non-Hispanic white voters flock to the Republican ticket in droves.

In the rest of the country, however, it’s a different story for Obama when it comes to likely Hispanic voters.

The president wallops Romney 66-31 percent overall across the U.S., according to the poll’s national survey of 1,000 likely Hispanic voters. It was taken Oct. 10-11 along with the 720-voter poll in Florida.

This really isn’t a surprise. Somebody has to be making up that 47%.

Wrong. Breitbart has an article up showing that they oversampled hispanics.

•Republicans 4%

•Conservatives 10%

•Caucasians 10%

•Liberals 11%

•Democrats 15%

•Independents 22%

•Latino 24%

He’s probably underperforming nationally with Hispanics, but no one wants to look.

I suggest first taking care of the muslim threat in the US. Then we’ll have to take care of the black threat to the US. Then, finally, we’ll have to get around to taking care of the hispanic=latino-wetback threat to the US. Just line’em up like bowling pins.

Haha! This article is in direct response to the article about FL Hispanic voters trending right from a couple of days ago. The White Hut gave marching orders to squash the insurrection.

If you think we can wait then its already over and we lost.

Assuming there are 30 million illegals in America, that's enough to create some 50 congressional districts and they don't even need to vote to do it. If they do vote, you can pretty much count on those districts being almost exclusively democrat. As it is we don't know how many districts exist almost wholly due to the presence of illegals.

The costs of administering a single district must run into the millions. How much pork can a district seek? How many earmarks? What will all those new democrat congressmen vote for?

If you think Obamacare is bad, you haven't seen squat. Wait till the day all those democrats start dictating how many cars a family can have, what job you can have, or where you can live. Wait till they dictate that all paychecks come from government and you get a small cut of what is left over.

Illegals are nothing but government growth hormone and amnesty today is nothing short of treason.

I suspect that the majority of Florida Hispanics are old line Cuban refugees that have become true Americans, unlike the illegal Mexicans that flood the other states.

I agree. The poll in this article is from MIAMI and will definitely be skewed toward Democrats. The interesting part of this poll is that more hispanics in Florida are leaning toward Romney.

Hispanic isn't a race or a nationality, Quick find Hispan on the map. It is a made up concoction that lumps people from Patagonia with Indians from Peru under the same banner.

It is BS plain and simple.

Florida also has immigrants from Brazil and Venezuela who don’t vote lock in step with Puerto Ricans on the left.

Is this poll telling us that Cuban refugees are smarter than those coming from south of our border?

Just wondering.

A lot of the Cubans in Florida are conservatives, who fled the Castro regime. They have always tended to vote more conservatively than the “Hispanics” in most other states.

“Hispanic isn’t a race or a nationality”

That may be what you think, but many Hispanics seem to think differently.

What is the literal translation of “La Raza”?

Hint: research the phrase here:

Please stop talking in racist terms. There is no "black" threat. Not all Hispanics are "wetbacks". Conservatives can and should reach out to blacks and Hispanics based on conservative principles. The issue on immigration is whether the law is being enforced. It is a matter of the rule of law. Please don't put it into racial terms.
