It was to have been the Homecoming game for the East End Raiders peewee football team -- their fans decked out from their socks to their hats in breast-cancer pink as 7- to 9-year-olds took the field at Pittsburgh Obama International Studies Academy in East Liberty.
Instead, hundreds of parents and children found themselves running and ducking for cover Saturday morning as gunshots rang from the metal bleachers overlooking the field -- the third shooting at a Pittsburgh youth football game in the last five years.
A statement released by Pittsburgh police said a 27-year-old man from Wilkinsburg was shot in the chest, a 64-year-old woman from Verona was shot in the stomach and shoulder and a 33-year-old woman was shot in the hand.
The first two are in critical condition and underwent emergency surgery at UPMC Presbyterian. The third victim is in stable condition.
The shootings occurred at 10:08 a.m. Names of the victims were not released.

Just a week ago I found myself in the center of a 3-on-1. I put one down, the other two got away. I really do believe zero’s encouragement to “get in their faces” was the start of this boldness.
LOL, peewee football games, family reunions, middle-school graduation parties, neighborhood basketball games, baby showers, grill-outs, Stop The Violence rallies....
This is kind of a big story. Don’t know if AP has picked it up, but... if it goes nationwide how the hell is the obama media going to keep Obama’s name out of it?

EAST LIBERTY (KDKA) – A routine bus ride for kids heading to school became anything but Tuesday morning.
A wheel on a bus transporting students to Pittsburgh Obama Academy came loose on Route 28.
“The wheel fell off of the rear passenger side of the axel”, says State Trooper Robin Mungo. “When the trooper arrived, the vehicle was in the right northbound lane on Route 28.

I was born and raised in East Liberty. It was a great place to grow up many years ago. Sad what it has become.

That school officially has TWO names.
“Obama Academy” and “International Baccalaureate Academy” or somesuch. Allows headline writers to switch back and forth at-will in order to keep The One’s name out of negative stories (such as when they get their heads handed to them in a sporing event)
“How did it get that name?”
A “diverse” neighborhood, low grades, bunch of entitlements and unfilled promises.
Well, I guess we’re still supposed to be liberal, and supposed to give everyone a pass, based on the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow and all that.
Homewood, Wilkensburg, Homestead...all pi**holes now. Used to be nice, ethinic communites back in the day. Urban black culture is a pox. What we need is to cut off all social welfare to these communites, set up military barraks where they aid in local policing, and have a three stikes law where if the third strike is a violent crime with a firearm you get the death penalty with one appeal. Give that 20 years and watch these places turnaround and crime plummet nationwide. We all know the stats , some states like Illlinois, some tof the jails are over 50% African Americans..and what they are 14% of the national population. Not racist if its true.
well the liberals will say it’s racist that so many blacks are in prison. And the liberals will prevent any strong action being taken against “black urban culture”. Certain people get a pass on all of their social pathologies by liberals, because we’re supposed to be sensitive about the legacy of slavery, Jim Crow, grappling with poverty, inadequate schools and all the rest of it that we hear constantly.
A good question for liberals would be: why is the state of the ghettos still the same in the age of Obama as it was under previous presidents?????
