Americans For Prosperity-Connecticut To Host Gas Rollback Event in Meriden, CT

Hartford, CT – Americans for Prosperity– Connecticut will host a gas rollback event at the Danby’s Gulf Express located at 872 East Main Street in Meriden next Thursday, October 18. From 4PM to 6PM, pumps at the station will roll prices back to $1.84/gallon; the rate gas was before President Obama took office.

During those hours, each customer may receive 15 gallons of gas at the reduced rate of $1.84/gallon. State Senator Len Suzio will attend.

“We are pleased to provide this opportunity for hard working CT residents to see some much-needed relief at the pump,” said AFP-CT State Director, JR Romano. “The rise in the price of gasoline is just one example of how President Obama and Congressman Chris Murphy’s out-of-control tax and spend policies are hurting CT families.”

Clever. I can't imagine how long the lines will be.

Hope the event gets *TONS* of publicity.

I understand other events like this are planned in other states. My only suggestion is to do a search of ***http://americansforprosperity.org/connecticut/***....key in your state name, to see if you have a local event.

Would be nice if there was some way to have only “undecideds” in the line. I’d forgo a place in line if I knew a potential zer0 voter could be swayed by the political statement this deal is shouting.

I don't think it really makes a difference. You don't have to be in that line to understand the impact.

This is a huge opportunity, as long as you can get the kneepad media to cover it. And, in a medium-sized town, you are much more likely to get local news coverage for an event like this.

I don't know know how much they are actually spending -- i.e. how much gas is being pumped during those two hours. But, I think this is more effective than an hour-long infomercial in the same market.

I applaud AFP. This is a really good idea.

Interesting a Un-Change event! Don’t need hope to see it will be a smashing success.
