McGovern, and his McGovern Amendment, etc, was responsible for the deaths of many of my Cambodian and Vietnamese friends.
In fact, he was indirectly responsible for the horrible death by flaying of a pro-Khmer Rouge Cambodian professor here in the US, Sokom Hing. Hing went back to Cambodia after acting as a key member of the Hanoi Lobby here during the war, told the KR that he was their representative in the US, and they tortured him to death in the main torture center in Phnom Penh.
McGovern abandoned the Cambodians to the No. Vietnamese/KR by his actions.
I don’t forgive the Nazis who sent my European family to the gas chambers of Auschwitz and Belzec, why should I forget McGovern for making another Holocaust/genocide possible?
He was a fool and people died because of it. If a member of your family or circle died because of someone’s blind stupidity, would you forgive them? I forgive those who truly repent, not those who make excuses for the harm they have done.
Would you want God to hold you to the same standard? That you can never be forgiven for things you have done?
