On the eve of the second of the presidential debates all hell broke loose. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, from Peru no less and safely after the evening news broadcasts here in the United States, announced that she takes “responsibility” for the Benghazi security debacle. It was intentionally left vague for what part of the fiasco she was taking responsibility (e.g. refusing to send Marine guards, not alerting the president that Libya had become an al-Qaeda-infested, non-functioning state).
In one fell swoop she ensured that Libya will be front and center in the debate and potentially for the rest of the campaign.
Clinton was forced to walk the plank for a cowardly president who should have stepped forward to take the blame. The buck stops, in Obama’s administration, at Foggy Bottom and not at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Clinton supporters, in this version, must surely be enraged. She’s being forced to take a bullet while Obama (not to mention all the incompetent men around him who didn’t see this coming and messed up on the post-attack storyline) escapes blame.
However, there is another way to read the Clinton statement. Frankly, no one believes she is responsible. She gets the gold star for being the loyal underling.
Whether you look at Hillary Clinton as a chump or a brilliant political player, the Libya debacle is now unmistakably the No. 1 story. It is now more than a foreign policy blunder. It is more than a tale of presidential deceit. It’s a pot boiler about revenge, blame and rivalry. No one is better at stirring that cauldron than the Clintons. And they have served up an irresistible brew for the media. All done from Peru.

When will we realize these democrats are ALL the same like cultists, doing everything for the “cause”, lie , hide news, cheat, ruin their own careers for this Obama creep and for socialism. their cause is socialism.
IMHO, the most important part of Hillary’s empty mea culpa came at the end when she referred to the situation in the Mid East as “deteriorating.” With that, she intentionally handed the Repubs the ammunition to gut Obama’s convention claim of being a foreign policy genius.
Not that I want to help Hillary or anything but we really need to find some clips from the democrat primary of 08 when she and Obama were arguing over who was ready to answer the 3AM phone call.

so, when al-Queda attacked OUR soil in Benghazi and slaughtered OUR Ambassador and three others, they went into coverup mode. They thought they could get away with blaming some obscure Youtube video and run out the clock until b. hussein (mmm mmm mmm) was re-elected.
However, the coverup (like all coverups) tend to unravel pretty quickly. Suddenly, people were looking at timelines and seeing what was being said. Not only that, but Mitt Romney's stellar debate performance only focused voters on the Incompetocracy currently running the White House.
Now, Mrs. Bill Clinton is taking the fall.... what's her angle?

Yes, I was thinking of responding to Sacajaweau’s post with something to the effect the Democrat Party is on the line in this battle, and the Clinton’s still need it LOL. I really hadn’t completed the thought yet, but hopefully you get my joke here. My serious joke actually.
Anyone who believes that Hillary will be thrown under the bus or that her acceptance of responsibility is a big deal should have their head examined.
What responsibility is Hillary really accepting? What are the consequences for her? Why did she wait over a month to make this statement? Why didn’t she testify at the congressional hearing rather than sending out Lamb and Kennedy? Why wasn’t Hillary on the five Sunday shows instead of Rice? Are the American people that stupid that they can believe her sham acceptance of responsibility?
This is all political theater. The timing couldn’t be more clear the day before the Presidential debate. And exactly what does Hillary have to lose? She is now the heroine protecting her boss who will help her political ambitions in 2016. Where are the calls now for her to resign if she really wants to accept responsibility? Or why doesn’t she offer her resignation?
Obama is not hiding behind Hillary. They are partners in crime. Hillary knows that there will be no consequences for her and Obama can just continue to blame everyone for his failures. No doubt that Hillary is helping Obama and that she knows that the intelligence community is pissed off at Biden for blaming them. Hillary is trying to calm the intelligence community and prevent leaks.
The State Department was in real time communication with the consulate as events went down. They had reports from the 25 or so survivors who escaped. They were debriefed right after they left Libya. Yet, Hillary at the Andrews AFB ceremony honoring the four killed in Benghazi blamed the video. The ceremony was held on Friday, September 14th two days before Rice went on the five Sunday shows.
I thought after Hillary took up residence there, they named it "Fatty Bottom"?
In the debate tonight, Romney should say something like: “I appreciate Secretary Clinton stepping up and taking responsibility for this fiasco. She is exhibiting the courage of a leader. But, Mr. President, as President Truman said, the buck stops with the president. This is your administration and you should not expect a subordinate to bear the responsibility for this this.”
Such a statement would not only make O look like the bozo he his, but would hit a nerve among independents, especially women voters.
