You might want to rethink this (besides the fact it is a tautology). From EPA land-grabs to Affirmative Action, from Jim Crow to police state draconian ‘wide-net’ snooper statutes, the ‘law’ can instantly and unjustly turn the innocent into the guilty.

I did rethink my statement several times before posting. Laws benefit the law abiding, by exacting retribution against those would would violate another's rights - to security in their possessions, safety, and privacy. And forget about the reach that that is an encroachment on freedom; every sane person knows that some laws - reasonable ones - are necessary in our imperfect world. The fact that there are unjust laws doesn't nullify the legitimacy of just, beneficial ones.
Only my extremely potent thighs and calfs got me out of a situation where a group was pursuing my bike on foot, for the crime of being non-black.
This exists. Seen it, been there, done that.
And that was over 20 years ago. Much, much worse now.
