The poll I’d like to see taken is one of Illinois. The last one on RCP was in early September, was of Registered Voters, and was done when the pollsters were biasing samples heavily toward Democrats to reflect the 2008 results. Yet, Obama was only ahead by 13 points and was under the 50% level (47-34).
It would be interesting to see just how strong he remains following the debates and the Libyan debacle that’s still unfolding. Meanwhile RCP has it listed as Strong Obama.
