Two well-placed LIGNET sources — both European nuclear physicists — report they frequently receive emails from Iranian scientists seeking to travel to Europe to serve short apprenticeships in nuclear research laboratories.

The requests, say the Europeans, are transparent attempts to gain access to highly sensitive information that could help Iran develop nuclear bombs.

This new information points to a persistent drive by Iran and other rogue nations to develop a nuclear weapons capability, despite their claims of nuclear power for peaceful purposes.

As another freeper noted on a different thread, they really don’t need anything high tech to do considerable damage. Just a steel tube, some high explosive with detonators, two subcritical hemispheres, and one or more persons willing to die for Allah.

Naw, they wouldn’t do that! The U.N., has told them not to while it’s being debated. They wouldn’t ignore a paper tiger would they?
Don’t they realize the UN will send them a stern warning with CAPITAL LETTERS???

The Manhattan Project lasted six years from its inception until the Trinity test. Six years, with no prior art to build on and no guarantee the bomb would actually work. From chalkboard to functional atomic bomb in six years, inventing everything from scratch.

The Iranians have been working on a bomb since the late 1980s.
