JACKSONVILLE --
Gun rights advocates Tuesday told a task force reviewing Florida's "stand your ground" law that the statute needs to be revised to take the burden off defendants trying to prove their use of force was justified.

Will somebody please take Romney to the range for 30 minutes?!?!
Needs to understand:
Full Auto’s are NOT illegal
ONLY Full Auto’s are true “assault weapons”
The Semi-Auto’s once covered by the ban, were only covered because they “looked bad”.
Needs to fire:
A shotgun
A revolver
A semi-auto pistol
A semi-auto rifle
A full auto weapon
It would help if he understood that background checks will never be able to flag the mentally ill, as long as liberals keep protecting them in the mainstream of society.
He should have made a campaign stop at Knob Creek last week!

Rand Paul did two years ago.
Well, I tried to buy a full automatic and could not do so. They're illegal and difficult to obtain for mostAmericans, so Romney was not incorrect from the standpoint of most Americans. Although law enforcement can obtain and use them.
Obama stated that individuals should not have access to military type weapons; I disagree with him on that. There was a Supreme court ruling many many years ago that sawed off shotguns could be banned, because they were not traditional military weapons, and allowing citizens to have weapons more harmful than the military could be prohibited. The implication of that is that if the military uses sawed-off shotguns, then the citizenry could also have and use them.
Oh, fer cryin out loud!
Really, here on FR, we still have folks this clueless?
Get a Class III, FFL and go buy your damn Full-Auto!
I didn’t say you could walk in off of the street and buy one, I said they weren’t illegal.
Did you bother to look at the video in Post #4?
There’s a few Full Auto’s employed there.....
Junping through the required hoops (and paying the money) to acquire a Class III, FFL in order to own a full auto/exotic weapon essentially does make them essentially “illegal” for most citizens.
You are absolutely correct that “technically” they are potentially legal to own.
But only for certain people, who would allow the level of potential 24/7 government intrusion into their lives and homes that most citizens recoil in horror over, rather than accept.
Many years ago I looked into acquiring a Class III.
After reading through all the fine print, I decided it wasn't worth the effort for the “toy” I wanted to acquire.
So are they legal?
Yes, but...
