...International reinsurers provide about 90 percent of the private back-up coverage for domestic home insurers throughout the state. In 2005, these international reinsurers paid 50 percent of the losses for hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Wilma.
In addition to the ever-present threat of hurricanes, another destructive development is imperiling Florida homeowners and businesses. U.S. Rep. Richard Neal (D-MA) and Sen. Don't know if it is too late to get this word out to the people of Florida, but it ought to be news.
Most of the people affected will be ‘rich’ white folks, who don’t deserve to enjoy the fruits of their labor and years of sacrifice anyway. They’re crackers, after all.

Florida screwed by Obama BUMP!!!!
email to all Florida residents not just voters.
This will capture the winter residents too.
Will make this a double ping for this thread too!

This is a very visible example of what Romney has been talking about-—Taxes don’t help grow the economy.
Both of these ‘sponsors’ of such a tax don’t live in Florida—so what do they care? This is the same crap as Robert Kennedy Jr. working with the Western Watershed group to take the irrigation water away from farmers in Califronia’s Central Valley.
With Florida apparently tilting towards voting for Romney, this appears to me to be a ‘shot across the bow’ to Florida voters to scare them, but if they support Obama, they are giving tacit approval to such a tax, IMO.
