Romney missteps on Libya may hurt bid to bash Obama on foreign policy
Washington Post ^ | October 17, 2012 | By Scott Wilson and Anne Gearan

A series of missteps by Republican nominee Mitt Romney in criticizing President Obama’s account of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. diplomatic post in Benghazi, Libya, may make it far harder for him to continue using the incident as the heart of his wider complaint about the incumbent’s foreign policy record.

Romney has seized on the coordinated attack, which killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and three other Americans, to back his contention that Obama has weakened the U.S. presence in the world and overseen an intentional diminution of American influence abroad.

In an election likely to be decided on economic issues, Romney’s move into foreign policy has stirred tensions within his campaign. But it has also put in play an issue — management of foreign policy — on which Obama once held a commanding lead.

Obviously, the writers of this article got together and pulled out their best Alinsky stunts.

If you switch the names Romney and Obama in the title you get the reality.

The authors, Wilson and Gearan, are absolutely clueless. If anything, it gives Romney a perfect opportunity to say something like - in case I was not clear....

For whatever reason, the abject lies, distortions, subterfuge, cover-ups and agitprop surrounding four deaths and numerous casualties in Bhengazi epitomize what has been happening over the last five years - including Obama’s 2008 election campaign.

Indeed, Monday is coming!

Do Obama, his handlers, and his fans in the press really think that this issue has been taken care of? Oh no no no. Obama/Crowley’s smart-assness will only focus Mitt and make him hit harder on Monday. Even with Schieffer, there will be nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. It will be a joy to watch. I can hardly wait.

This is the panick response from WaPo, the best they can do on short notice. Tsunami, or iow ‘preference cascade’.

Brings to mind one lord/king trying to stop the tide coming in with his raised palm.

Completely laughable too.

The propaganda spin is incredible.

Freedom of the Press, it is a crime for it to be used as a means of deception. Beware Press, there may come a time when you will be called to account for your hand in the destruction of Freedom.

The Washington Post has gone on record now as being such shills for the Democrat party, that they will turn a blind eye to the coverup by the Obama administration over the missing anti-aircraft missiles in Libya. Would Americans turn a blind eye to an organization so invested in the Democrat party that they refused to cover Obama’s incompetence if it led to a terrorist attack?

Crowley did Romney a favor. Romney is going to crush Obama with his lies in Monday. If Obama is willing to lie about something so obvious to everyone, is there anything he wouldn’t lie about?

And BIG BIRD may talk THE FOREIGNER into confessing he is ineligible and run for president himself. The frauds on the left are grasping for straws. Notice there only solutions are to distract and attack Romney for some delusional reason they zero in on that means absolutely nothing in the big picture.

I’m wondering about the jurisdiction of the FBI investigating what happened in Benghazi. If it was a terror attack, shouldn’t the military be used to protect us?

Banghazi is the biggest scandal since Watergate. And it’s Romney who “misstepped” on Libya.

The media is corrupt.

The Washington Post must be the only ones who saw a mos step I saw none.

People died and Obama lied.

Can’t wait to see the Wapo fold up like a cheap suit.
