Raleigh, N.C. Historically high turnout by black voters helped President Barack Obama win North Carolina in 2008 by 14,000 votes, which was his narrowest margin of victory nationwide.
Polls show Obama's support among black voters this year is weaker, which only heightens North Carolina's status as a swing state in next month's presidential election.
A WRAL News poll from October 2008 showed 92 percent of black voters in North Carolina supported Obama, while only 3 percent backed Republican nominee John McCain. In a WRAL News poll released two weeks ago, Obama's support among black voters has fallen to 87 percent, with 12 percent saying they plan to back Republican Mitt Romney.

Can’t be true..have been told repeatedly by the oh so honest media that they can’t find ONE black person who would ever support Romney..gee could it be..could the media have lied
I predict they will stay home in droves.
Don’t like the bone smuggler imperative of the turdburgler in chief.
More bad news for the O!
No, it’s homosexual “marriage”. There are a lot of Christians who happen to be black in NC and some of them just will not abide the perversion of the word marriage.
He ain’t a Bruthuh. No slave blood. Not a part of the shtruggle. Spoiled (half) white kid from Hawaii exclusive prep school, free Ivy League education, free mansion house in Chi-town (Tony Rezco-Lebanese crook financed it), adopted by wild eyed Rev Wright and then when O made it he tossed the Rev under the bus, does not give a damn or a dime for his real brother George in Kenya, has at least 2 illegal alien relatives in USA on public assistance and housing (aunt in MA) and the uncle is an unpunished drunk driver.
Just HOW does he/could he relate to “typical Black people”?
He’s not the “magic Negro” anymore.
Obama is pulling out of NC, its over.
You mean race-colored glasses?
Gotta be the Christians figuring out that it’s more importnat to be ethical and American than black. (Took a while.)
I work in Raleigh with some very intelligent, educated, patriotic blacks who are so embarrassed by the O that they prefer not to discuss him. I have been told repeatedly that he won’t get the support he did in 2008. In fact they say only those who want to live on taxpayer money really support him in private but won’t necessarily go vote...too much bother.
Beyond those percentages, it would be interesting to know, in addition to those figures, how many blacks have seen Obunga for the fraud he is, and those who also will vote for Romney, but are afraid to say it out loud.
Spent some time in LA recently for the shuttle and I saw only one black woman with an Obama shirt. This was not the case four years ago when there were freeking kiosks selling the crap.
