I went to a Jesuit school for undergrad.

I’d say a majority of the students there are more inclined to be Chris Matthews Catholics as opposed to Paul Ryan Catholics.

The Jesuits really don’t care about Catholic dogma, so they just preach about social justice and equality.

What I don’t understand, is why can Joe Biden’s morality/Catholicism influence his views on “social justice,” but Paul Ryan’s morality/Catholic cannot influence his views on abortion.

A priest, I believe from my undergrad institution, just wrote an article defending Joe Biden Catholics.

I’ve honestly had enough with these cafeteria Catholics, almost to the point that I’m considering a new Christian faith.

You would abandon the Church because these guys claim to be Catholic, even though they reject the teachings of the Church? Indeed, there are many false priests and even bishops in the USA, and almost without exception they sneered when Rome issued the new Catholic Catechism twenty years ago. During the reign of Paul VI, they climbed to the highest position in the Church. They are still well represented even in the Vatican, and, yes in the archdiocese of Washington. But in part because of the efforts of the present pope, in part because of the priest scandal, the so-called Spirit of Vatican II is slowly being expelled. God knows how many souls have been led astray by that evil spirit.
