Instead of hitting on the ladies, A-Rod, should be hitting the baseball!

Jim Leyland said that Scherzer looked "pretty much spent" by the time he was lifted from the game. This despite the fact he had only thrown 91 pitches.
Since when can a 28 year old pitcher only go five innings?!
Gee it wasn't that long ago that guys like Orel Hershiser would pitch complete games AND pitch relief in one series.
Wikipedia: In the 1988 National League Championship Series between Hershiser's Dodgers and the New York Mets, Hershiser not only started Games 1 and 3, but recorded the final out in Game 4 in relief for a save. He then pitched a [complete game] shutout in Game 7. He was selected MVP of the series.

Yankees are going to win 4 in a row??
Unlikely, given the way they’ve played up until now - this just postpones the inevitable.

Almost game time.

Yankees are done. If it can’t be the Rangers and their AA manager; then it is ‘Go, Tigers!’

Scherzer is no slouch. He’s second in strikeouts in the AL after Verlander.

Hopefully this year the Tigers can do what the Rangers couldn’t do, finish the job!
Hope the pitchers have some additional fielding practice before the World Series, though. ;)

In 06 the Tigers had that 12 day break before the world series which killed them.

The Tigers were almost all rookies in 06 as well.
