Solid proof Obama is planning a concession speech event for November 6th Election Night

I’ve written before about the fact that Barack Obama was not planning another big Election Night victory party in Grant Park here in Chicago like the spectacle he put on in 2008, because no one I know in the Parks Department or in the event planning community had anything on their radar for Grant Park that night. Because of the permitting and union rules that plague any event in this City (which wouldn’t be waived even for Obama, due to liability and insurance issues the City would face if anything went wrong and permitting was not followed to the “T”) we would have known a few weeks ago if Obama expected another win and was going to celebrate in Chicago again. That massive Grant Park victory rally took a while to plan and involved far too many vendors for anything similar to be replicated this year without people already knowing.

I’ve suspected for some time that Obama was going to plan for a concession speech on November 6th, but last night final confirmation arrived in the form of leaked news that the Obama election night event is being staged in private McCormick Place, not a big public setting like Grant Park.

I tend to agree with you. Have you seen how liberals treat people who are no longer useful to them?

What would really clinch it would be if Sandra Fluke plans to enter a convent as she can’t have sex anymore because Romney won.

McCormick Place is the largest convention center in North America.

The idea that it's "hard to get to" is laughable. It's where they have (among other things) the Chicago Auto Show every year.

Beck just said 51% to 46% approval with Romney leading...and no one EVER in history has won with less than 50% approval.

Obama is DONE!!! And I agree, it’ll be a landslide.

And I doubt any nation can survive with 46% giving this Marxist and his cohorts favorable ratings

My dream: on election night, Obama resigns, handing power over to Joe Biden.

I doubt Obama is really *planning* for a concession speech ... because looking that possibility in the eye is far too forthright behavior for His Majesty. However, with that lurking unacknowedged in the back of his mind ... I am guessing they have downsized just in *case* of a defeat ... because a big ol’ park filled with angry Obama fans would certainly be the right place & atmosphere for a riot! Obama & his ilk might possibly want, or at least welcome, riots for political reason, but you can bet your britches he doesn’t want to be caught right in the MIDDLE of one!!!

Thanks for sharing that info. I didn’t know that. It’s good to know that the kenyan won’t be able to have personal bodyguards paid for by my tax dollars for his entire life.

Funny that Slick was the one to stop that perk.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe none of the leaders of the 5 permanent members of the Security Council can serve as Secretary General.

SS security is only for 9 years, IIRC.

As an American, especially a former POTUS, there is no chance he will ever be UN head, as P5 members are barred from that position.

The next SecGen will likely be Muslim.

zer0 will be lucky of he gets any speaking engagements at all. He may spend time writing his memoirs while Michelle will rake it in with diet and fashion and parenting books.

Thanks for informing me about the rule against P-5 Security Council members being SecGen of the UN.

Nevertheless, even though that position isn’t available, Obama will still promote himself as a spokesperson for the world. And, he will hammer on the US as one of the world’s greatest problems. That’s a sad forecast for a President, alas.

He’s such a failure that he may just sulk in disgrace for years. They don’t need him any more. I look for her to become a celebrity, but he may just become invisible.
