Romney all but erases Obama's polling lead on foreign policy

Mitt Romney has all but erased President Obama's lead on foreign policy issues in the aftermath of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Libya, according to a Pew poll released Thursday.

Obama's lead on foreign policy has plummeted by 11 points since the outbreak of violence in the Middle East that culminated with the death of four Americans in Libya on Sept. 11, according to Pew.

The president holds a slim 47 percent to 43 percent edge over his GOP rival on the issue of who would do a better job on foreign policy, down from a 15-point advantage in September.

The poll of 1,511 adults was conducted two weeks ago, and found that many Americans have soured on the situation in the Middle East: only 25 percent see a positive future for the region, down from 42 percent in April.

The change in mood is likely a result of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans last month.

A separate Pew poll taken last week, also released Thursday, found that a large chunk of independent voters disapprove of Obama's handling of the Libya situation, possibly helping Romney with a bloc of voters that could decide the election......

when you go and read down the actual poll questions at pew, the sample sizes are up to like D+12. This poll is all over the shop and pushes Obama up massively. Republican samples have error of 5.5% and each question has different sample sizes. Romney should be way up on this crap of a poll designed to push Obama.

I find it utterly bizarre that Obama ever had a foreign policy lead in the first place. He made all kind of ridiculous promises on foreign policy to get elected, reneged on all of them, and has botched every foreign affairs challenge that has occured in his term. He has emboldened America's enemies, encouraged her detractors, confused US allies, and discouraged potential friends while currying favor with erratic regimes that are never going to become friends.

The man is a foreign policy disaster.

Part of my job is dealing with research statistics. If I were a reviewer for an academic article with research done like this I’d recommend it not be published. This is a seriously flawed poll

“...........Another reality that may be penetrating the liberals’ self-delusion shield is the Benghazi debacle. It’s been said that a liberal is someone who will not take his own side in a fight. A perfect example of that perverse attitude is how Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Susan Rice were all so eager to take the terrorists’ side in the attacks on our embassies. They used the strongest possible words in condemning the obscure video and its creator. Ms. Clinton said the video was “disgusting and reprehensible” and “truly abhorrent.” By blaming the video so vehemently they effectively implied the attackers were justified. They took the terrorists’ side in the fight. They basically said, “We totally understand why you wanted to kill our ambassador. You don’t like America; neither do we.”

Democrats ridiculed Clint Eastwood for his empty chair speech at the Republican National Convention. In retrospect his metaphor appears to have been spot-on. Eastwood later observed that “Obama is the biggest hoax ever committed on the American people.”........................

The main reason 0's ratings on foreign policy were so high was the way the press handled his "victories". They were also ready to go along with the admin's version of "Benghazi-gate", and keep the truth "swept under the carpet".

But the truth, which 0 saw as a "leetle leezard", has now grown into such a giant "crock-o-lies" that even the sycophant-ile press can't keep it from coming out into the open and biting Obama's a--dmin!
