Perhaps if Hussein had a realistic policy for the Mid East and had been more interested in doing his job than fund raising, campaigning or covering for his radical muzzie bros, then the word COVERUP might not be a much in vogue.

Say, wasn't the Watergate coverup the cause of Nixon's resignation and yet, NO ONE DIED AT THE WATERGATE! I guess it is not "optimal" that four people died at Benghazi.

100s of Americans in a dozen places were listening to the entire attack in live time. They knew what it was from the start. This was not an "intel failure," it was a LEADERSHIP failure. Instead of ordering a possibly messy rescue, Obama hunkered down and came up with the video lie/excuse. A few dead Americans were preferred over a rescue that might have gone in any direction.

Is there a reason the CIA (and entire defense dept) doesn’t want to share knowledge about enemies in the mid-east with Obama?

I believe Obama knew the facts early on and tried to hide them from us. But I’m willing to accept that the CIA wanted to hide things from Obama if that’s what he wants to claim. I’d probably even accept that the CIA tried to tell Obama but he was too busy golfing and fund-raising.

There are lots of believable explanations of the administration’s response. I think they should say that they were lying to us for campaign purposes. As scary as that is, the others are much worse.
