The truth is that 100s of American watchstanders in a half-dozen locations were listening to the attack in live time, as it happened, from the consulate itself.
This was not an INTEL failure, it was a LEADERSHIP failure. Only Obama could order a rescue mission (One hour from southern Italy) but he didn't. Instead, he came up with the "video" lie as an excuse for dead Americans. He preferred a few dead Americans in a "contained" crisis, than risk a short-fuse rescue mission.
