ABC, NBC Enable Obama's Libya Lie, Day 3; Media Cover-up Continues Ahead of Foreign Policy Debate

Analysts at the Media Research Center -- the parent organization of NewsBusters -- have found that both ABC and NBC continue to cover up President Obama’s lie about Libya during Tuesday night’s debate. In fact, neither network covered Libya at all during their evening broadcasts last night. Instead, both ABC and NBC followed the Obama campaign's theme of the day in emphasizing the effort to win over women voters. ABC touted Barbara Walters' "pointed question" about abortion posed to Ann Romney on The View, while NBC's Andrea Mitchell talked about Mitt Romney's "'binders full of women' stumble in the debate.”

To date, neither ABC World News nor NBC Nightly News has asked the obvious, fundamental questions about this cover-up:

Media Research Center President Brent Bozell reacts:

It’s inconceivable that leading into the final presidential debate focused entirely on foreign policy that two broadcast networks would continue to spike Barack Obama’s lie about Libya. Obama’s feigned outrage over Mitt Romney’s demand to know why his administration lied to the American people about Libya over and over is outrageous and offensive.

Jan Crawford exposed Obama’s lie on CBS Evening News the very next night. Her reporting proves that the liberal media know what questions should be asked, and are capable of Telling the Truth. ABC and NBC have zero excuse.

It’s been three days since Obama lied to the nation on national television. The American people are demanding answers to hard questions that ABC and NBC simply refuse to ask because they want to protect Obama. ABC and NBC are a disgrace, and have no credibility with the public.

Another perspective:

One assumes that the networks specified here are supported by corporate dollars. Where is the outrage among intelligent CEO's and Boards of Directors of companies who find themselves being coopted in this government/media coup to deceive American citizens?

Where is their shame at participating in "Pravda-like" propaganda efforts?

ABC is owned by Disney.

NBC is owned by Comcast.

No corporate conscience whatsoever.

Would like to see Ms. Crowley before a congressional hearing to decide whether or not she lied when she said, “The questions are known to me and my team only. Neither the commission, nor the candidates have seen them.” For the record I just printed the transcript!

Did all of the German people hate the Jews in the 1930s and 40s? I would think not. Then why was there so little done by the German people to stop the abuse and slaughter of Jews? The reason put forth has been that the Germans followed the strict code of Prussian discipline. I don’t think so. Germany, in the 1930s was considered by many to be the most progressive/liberal nation in the world. I believe the German people fell for the old liberal utopia lie. Yes, abusing and killing Jews was bad, but the national socialists were going to make Germany a utopia, so if a few Jews were killed, well, it was for the greater good. That’s where our media is today. They know that the Democrats lie and steal and have policies that kill hundreds of thousands of people, but it’s OK because they are going to give us utopia. How many dead until our media wakes up and does their job of getting after the Democrats? How could so many Jews have been killed? Because too many Germans believed the old liberal utopia lie. How many Americans will have to die before our media wakes up? Six million? Ten million? That utopian dream sure seems to get a lot of people killed. Look at Germany and Russia and China and Cambodia. What price silence ABC? What price silence NBC?

History has been redacted in front of our faces with the full support of the media.

Interesting bit from last year, that I had filed in my memory under "Things That Make You Go Hmmm":

Pres. Obama Drops By Martha’s Vineyard Home of Comcast CEO
By Chris Ariens on August 22, 2011 10:39 AM

After golf and before his statement on Libya,* Pres. Obama stopped by the Martha’s Vineyard home of Comcast CEO Brian Roberts. That’s the motorcade, right. Comcast is the majority owner of NBCUniversal. From the pool report, on Politico:

The presidential motorcade on Martha’s Vineyard peeled out of Blue Heron Farms at 5:15 p.m. with the president and Valerie Jarrett in tow. …Obama and Jarrett arrived at West Tisbury home of their friends, Brian and Aileen Roberts, spokesman Josh Earnest informs us. It was 5:30 p.m. Roberts is chairman and CEO of Comcast.

ABC is explainable. Susan Rice’s husband works for them at an executive level.
