The City Paper/Kojo Nnamdi Show poll also showed President Barack Obama handily beating Mitt Romney in the race for D.C.'s three electoral votes, 88 percent to 8 percent.

In other news, water is wet and grass is green.
The freeloaders don’t like to get very far away from their masters. In this case, the Federal government.
That’s a lot of Mad Dog at $2.99 a bottle.
Not surprising. Kerry beat Bush 89% to 9%.

In 2000, Gore won by 85% to 9%, but only because Nader sucked up 5% of the vote.

DC? They used a D+90 model. Shouldn’t that be a D+98?
This is more a reflection on Brown being neck deep in scandal rather than some sort of seismic shift against The One in DC. Brown and many other DC politicos have gone to school on Marion Barry’s career - they see how bulletproof Barry has been and assume they can engage in lesser acts and get re-elected. They may be right - we’ll see.
What’s going on in DC nowadays?
Could the day of the politicians that love crack and whores and crack whores be numbered?
Say it ain’t so. It’s just a $100,000 in stolen campaign funds and a little license suspension and some unpaid bills. That should get you canonized in third-world DC.
That a hell of a lot of FREE PHONES.
Wow, according to this poll 12% of DC'ers won't vote for the Liberal Messiah.
Washington DC does not have a voting representative in the House of Representatives, only a “Delegate” and doesn’t have two Senators in the US Senate and DC is not a state. Yet, it gets 3 electoral college votes (all for the Democrats no doubt).
Why?
No surprise there.
I think the big surprise will be in the outlying metro area.
Think libertarian or green.
When did that little gem come about?
Constitution of the United States, Amendment 23 (ratified in 1961)
Section 1. The District constituting the seat of Government of the United States shall appoint in such manner as the Congress may direct:
A number of electors of President and Vice President equal to the whole number of Senators and Representatives in Congress to which the District would be entitled if it were a State, but in no event more than the least populous State; they shall be in addition to those appointed by the States, but they shall be considered, for the purposes of the election of President and Vice President, to be electors appointed by a State; and they shall meet in the District and perform such duties as provided by the twelfth article of amendment.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
See 23rd Amendment.
Thank you! I didn’t know that.
