Searchlight, Nev. - Nevada Senator Harry Reid issued the following statement after Nevada’s unemployment rate decreased from 12.1 percent in August to 11.8 percent in September:
“The reduction in Nevada’s latest unemployment rate is encouraging. We are making progress. At the same time, we must continue efforts to strengthen our state’s middle class and its small business community to ensure all Nevadans have a fair chance to succeed.
“Democrats have been working hard to pass common-sense measures that would create jobs, provide tax relief to middle class families, and enable small businesses to innovate and hire new workers. However, Republicans have chosen instead to focus on party politics and bring the country to the brink. They are holding the middle class hostage on behalf of millionaires and billionaires. That’s wrong.
“I’m confident we can speed up our economic recovery if Republicans choose to work with Democrats to create jobs. Nevada can continue its recent momentum when Republicans finally decide to put politics aside and start to focus on creating jobs and supporting the middle class.”

Harry Reid always seems to use the same template when he issues a public statement. Ask Reid who he thinks will win the World Series and he’d probably say something like “I think the Tigers will win the World Series, but I think Tigers’ fans would be even happier if Republicans would quit their obstructionist ways and instead work with Democrats in Congress in passing common sense legislation to get the economy moving forward”.
WOW, thats .3%, or .003. Just... stunning how little of a effect all of Rieds “efforts” have accomplished.
Reid is nothing but a rotten vulcher (who even looks like one with his slouchy walk) who cares NOTHING about middle class workers. Tell a trucker how much you care about him, paying $4-5/gal for diesel and getting 6-7 miles to the gallon. I’m glad God gets the last say!
I’ll never forget his remarks about tourists “smelling” when they visit the Capitol.
