But a kid with AIDS will be welcomed and encouraged to “mainstream” in all activities. . .to include contact sports.

"A California boy has been ordered to transfer to another middle school because he carries the genetic mutations for cystic fibrosis..." Stunning absence of logic by the powers that be.
If there is a problem with this child attending one Middle School, how does transferring him to another one 3 miles away solve the problem?

While cystic fibrosis is not contagious, bacteria from the disease can be dangerous to others who have it as well, and non-siblings are advised to stay 3 to 6 feet away from each other, according to the Chronicle.precaution is always a good idea. Besides they can't stay 3-6 feet apart, especially in sex-ed during bed position demonstrations for the final grade period.

A pair of siblings at Colmans school do have the disease, From a liability perspective, the school probably made the right move.

If you read the details, it becomes clear that they’re not that stupid.

If he had AIDS they wouldn’t dare do this to him. The heterophobes would go insane.

Just wait until he tries to get treated for a broken bone. Under ObamaCare, I'd bet hospitals would turn him away lest he infect the other patients.
Tough luck kid, next time carry a sickle cell anemia gene.

I just went to my 50th high school reunion with two other women. We, and one other woman who died of CF some years back, started singing together in a church choir when we were 3 years old, and continued our close association until age 18. We breathed each other’s breath, held each other’s hands and music sheets, and never gave it a moment’s thought. As noted, the three survivors are now 68 years old.

Okay, so if a piano player can be called a “pianist” why can’t a race car drive be called a “racist” .... one wonders.

These officials would probably insist that those with Down’s Syndrome be quarantined, so as not to infect the population at large.

If you read the details, it becomes clear that theyre not that stupid. So, tell me, what bacteria does a kid with a single copy of the CF gene and WHO DOES NOT HAVE AND WILL NEVER GET cystic fibrosis have that a kid who doesn't have his own copy of a CF gene can catch?
