Winners act like winners. Losers act like losers. And according to members of the same media elite who have spent months protecting him, Barack Obama is now looking like a loser in the closing days of his reelection campaign. This morning, a few members of the elite "Gang of 500," including Time's Mark Halperin, The National Journal's Ron Fournier, ABC's Terry Moran, and Politico's Roger Simon, publicly voiced their disapproval of a campaign they describe as "belittling," "not confident," "peevish" and worse:
[TWEETS]
Uh, oh.
In 1984, President Reagan ran on "Morning In America." In 1996, President Clinton ran on a "Bridge to the 21st Century." In the final days of successful reelection campaigns, both Reagan and Clinton offered a unifying message meant to bring the country together. Their closing arguments were uplifting, forward-looking, and optimistic.
Flash-forward to 2012 and all we've seen from the man who promised us hope, change, and a new kind of politics is a nakedly cynical divide and conquer crusade that's only gotten worse in its closing days. While Romney focuses his closing argument on the future, his agenda, and the realities of governing, our president is literally going all in on Big Bird, contraception, Binder-gate, "Romnesia," and aids flanking him at rallies holding signs that read: "Women's Health Security."

I stopped listening to jugears years ago. I can’t stand to look at him - let alone hear his voice. He offers nothing positive, only negatives and more of the same. If I never see him or hear his voice again - it won’t hurt my feelings.
He has nothing positive to offer anyone except to make fun of others. Its so demeaning to the office of the president of the United States. Its embarrassing for us.
All the commie 'RATS have to sell is fear. They sure as hell don't want to talk about jobs, debt, the economy or America's future. Losers.
That’s what community agitators do...
Our Obama? They gotta be kidding.
Yes, a “snarky, belittling campaign” it may be, but the MSM will still vote for Dear Leader because they don’t know anyone in their bubble that voted against him. It is that simple.
I’m a conservative for sure but, I’m willing to listen always to the other side out of both resepct and also to learn how the other side thinks. I aattack their arguments but, I never attack the person. I assume their positions are heartfelt if not misguided. I expect the same respect in return and one thing that has abslutely annoyed the hell our of me is President Obama’s snarky, mean-spirited, and snarky attacks on conservatives in general and Mitt Romney in particular. It’s base, low-brow, and non-presidential. I hate when conservatives go that route as well.
In any case, Obama is sprinting to the finish line calling Romney a liar, using this absolutely stupid ‘binders coment’ and running Big-Bird adds. What the hell is going on, here? If he gets reelected, what will he be mandated to do besides insult people?
The man has no discernable vision yet, he still has wide support. It baffles me.
If we put Obama back in office after the ‘intellectual and psycological beat down’ he’s taken from Romney in all of the debates it would officially signal the end of our republic....nothing left to do but prepare for bankruptcy. Seriously, President Obama looks so weak and intellectually small around Romney. He must have trouble sleeping at night because he knows he’s due another ‘beat down’ this Monday as well.
Still, come Tuesday he’ll be yapping about ‘Big Bird’, ‘binders’ and ‘liar-liar pants on fire’ to huge crowds.
In any case, I’ve never seen an intellectually vacuous person achieve so much in his life as Barack Obama....with the exception of maybe William Shatner.
The Obama campaign cannot honestly present the ideology, or set of ideas, upon which he bases his policies, because he knows they conflict with the beliefs and ideas underlying America's Declaration of Independence and Constitution; therefore, they must talk about the person who opposes him.
An honest debate of the ideas of individual liberty, freedom of individual enterprise, and wealth creation for the nation versus the ideas of collectivism, government "taking" and "redistribution" of the incomes of individuals, and the resulting "leveling" and mediocrity, and loss of freedom which exists in every society where the latter has been implemented, would not work for Obama's re-election.
As a result, his campaign has focused on the petty, the insignificant, the personal, and the untrue.
Although so-called "progressives" may have thought they had sufficiently "erased" America's real history from the minds of voters so that they could "change" America from its foundations in freedom, they may be mistaken. Technology has enabled an entire new generation to access the founding ideas and to discuss them widely. As Jefferson opined, "an educated electorate" is required, and is one which is capable of defeating tyrants and preserving liberty for future generations.
“What the hell is going on, here? If he gets reelected, what will he be mandated to do besides insult people?”
Great line.
“Peevish” is an excellent description.
Main Stream Media= A tragic American disgrace. They facilitated the election of a man with no accomplishments and no resume resulting in the greatest fraud in the history of our country. They did it willingly and with unimaginable malice and deception. The damage will be so far reaching that it is incalculable.
The man has no discernable vision yet, he still has wide support. It baffles me.
Every time he even hints about his ideology (”you didn’t build that” or “high gasoline prices improve the economy”, for example), he gets nailed during this election (because Romney is not a coward zombie like McStupid).
The mask has been off for quite some time. If these ditwads who consider themselves to be “the elite media” couldn’t recognize him for what he was, it’s because they refused to open their eyes.
WTF? I bet even 'rat women can't make hay out of that beltway BS.
Just watch any of those "man in the street" interviews where random citizens are questioned on simple and obvious truths. America is approaching the nadir of the fears of the Founding Fathers, that the ignorant mob will be making decisions about how we are to be governed.
Too many people have the franchise.
