You would think the judge knows the law instead he used his powers for personal views. Sadly most people give up their rights to easily.

I did something in court once that the judge didn't appreciate and he said something like "I don't approve of that in my court room". I snapped and said "this isn't your court room your honor, it's the peoples court room". And then the hilarity ensued (this was in a small town is southern New Hampshire back in the early '80's; much different than now).

Didn't get locked up for contempt and was found not guilty of the charge that got me there.

One of the strangest days of my life.
