United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. Just one incident will discredit the whole lot and will introduce them to American justice and fairness. Any video will be played a million times on the Internet.

I’m a poll watcher again this election. I’m going in for a “refresher” this Tuesday. I will ask pointedly what we are supposed to do if we are confronted by somebody from the UN and let you know what we are told.
