You could tell by the looks on peoples’ faces they couldn’t wait to vote for obama.

Can you elaborate on this?

Early Cheating has begun in many states , here in CA I could litterally vote every day, sometimes twice a day, no excuse required , just walk up and get a ballot

in '08 there were bussloads of blacks in lines 100's long at the county recorders offices statewide

And speaking of clueless, the Dallas Morning News endorsed totally-bland Democrat Paul Sadler for the Senate race, instead of the awesome Republican Ted Cruz, proving once again that the Dallas and Houston newspapers aren’t fit to house-train your dog on.

Houston elected a lesbian mayor, Dallas a lesbian Sheriff. Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, and Austin went for Obama in 2008. More people in Texas either voted for Obama or didn't care enough to vote than supported McCain in 2008. Sometime in the past 5 years, Texas became a minority-majority state.

Not much else needs to be said. Texas is headed towards some interesting times.

At the Lockwood library early voting location it was a 35 minutes wait at 2pm on the 1st day of early voting!

I don’t think I have seen a line like that on election day in my normal precinct!

We just early voted at about 1 PM in Collin County. There were about 12 in line in front of us, 10 at booths or being checked in, and when we left the line was about the same as when we got there. A young kid with a disability of some kind wearing an Obama I’ve Got Your Back tee shirt was in booth next to me, saw one other guy with a sappy tee shirt message that made me think Obama voter, but except for that everyone looked serious and conservative and like they were on a mission. And I can tell a conservative from a liberal just by looking at them with 98.6% accuracy.

Judging from the Romney signs in East Dallas, it may not be true this election.

I voted about 9:30 this morning and it was a steady line of about 20 or so with 12 voting machines with voters at them. Early voting is becoming more the norm as best as I can tell.

I just got back from voting. In line at 4:00 pm and left at 4:45 pm. Huge line. The workers said it had been busy ALL day.

I’m in a strongly conservative/republican area.

I had to present my drivers license in order to vote. :-)

You must not have had your voter registration card with you.

Interesting note, the workers would come out every 15 minutes or so, and tell people if they had their driver's license available for scanning, the process would go much quicker because they could scan the license rather than input the voter card info. I thought that was funny/ironic considering the whole hoopla about voter ID being discriminatory. Of course, NOT ONE PERSON complained about having to show an ID while I was there which suggests even the Obama voters in-line know the suppression argument is a farce.

I haven’t used my voter registration card in years, many years. I just pull out my Drivers License and that’s all you need. No fuss, no mess. In fact they were doing like your location telling people to have either their DL or voter registration card. They didn’t mention scanning as a quicker method.

So my ballot can get lost, misplaced, and then magically reappear two weeks later, as reported in Michigan today? No thanks.

The path to easy fraud is paved with early voters and their naivete.

This is in person voting, not absentee ballot voting.

I live in Euless and I have many friends living in Irving. It’s becoming a dump and starting to look like Mesquite. All the strip malls are ghost towns or occupied by dollar stores. There is no zoning regulations at all. It’s starting to creep into Euless, so I’m starting to prep the house to sell it if Romney wins and the economy turns around in about 2 years I can get back what it was worth. Irving was heavily dependent on the Cowboys stadium and without it, they’re gonna have to raise property taxes. Euless on the other hand at least has some revenue coming in for the airport and car rental lots.

To each his/her own. I’m happy with the process and have voted early for the past many years. Here we don’t use ballots but vote on machines except for absentee. We use the same machines that are used on election day, the same voter rolls, the same workers, etc.

Take care......

It’ll be interesting to see if Texas breaks the 40% threshhold in early voting this year. It was just under 40% in 2008.
