President Romney
The Weekly Standard ^ | 10/22/12 | WILLIAM KRISTOL

Mitt Romney is more than holding his own with Barack Obama tonight. Only two other challengers have done as well debating foreign policy with an incumbent president—Ronald Reagan against Jimmy Carter in 1980 and, to a lesser degree, Bill Clinton against George H.W. Bush in 1992. Reagan and Clinton won. Romney is now on track to becoming the third challenger to win in the last 32 years—and the first in 80 years to defeat an incumbent who didn't have a primary challenge. Tonight, Romney seems as fully capable as—probably more capable than—Barack Obama of being the next president. He probably will be.

observing how zero conducts himself during the debates gives one a clear understanding of why he has been so unsuccessful at working with congress. Observing mitt also gives an understanding of why he has been so successful working with all types of people.

You could just tell by Oblamer’s body language and eyes, he personally hates Romney

Obama has looked diminished, small and aged since he lost that first debate.

I have observed the same thing. Once Toto pulled back the curtain, the "Wizard" was exposed as the ordinary little man that he was. And he was never the Wizard again.

From the public’s pov, a draw imo – because the public is too stupid to see a liar right in front of their face.

From my pov, Romney won but only because I’m educated enough to see thru Obama’s many lies.

Romney was too much of a gentleman at times, but maybe that was his campaign strategy for this third debate.

Obama threw out soo much dishonest chaff that needed correction that Romney didn’t have time to correct all of it. He corrected some of it and continued to take the high road.

At times, I felt he should have essentially thrown up his arms in frustration and said, “Why do you keep repeating all these snarky lies when time and time again, I’ve corrected you on them?”

In the end, I think a lot boils down to shallow things like facial expressions, appearance/style. Romney clearly had that over Barky Obunga.

My neighbor lady (85 y/o conservative) called me right after and said “Romney looked fatherly.” Hadn’t thought of it that way, but that’s an appeal he probably has for a lot of people. He’s a true father in real life and he exudes that quality.

Obama exudes the characteristics of a petulant punk.

His beady eyes made him appear as if he was always defending a lie.

But the “FATHERLY” comparison sums up an essence about Romney that Obama just doesn’t have.

Bork Obunga is a professional complainer and that’s it...

Since America has become a nation of children, it follows that they may fall for more of a father figure than Obama. That’s why Obunga will lose.

This election could be another Carville-with-a-trashcan-on-his-head event.

I think that was the plan. A trap was set. Obama walked into it. Romney showed instead of told and then more or less spelled out in his closing remarks what we had just seen with our own eyes: a guy who can’t play well with others. Masterfully done really.

Romney clearly demonstrated what should characterize an American president — command presence. He had it and obama plainly did not.

President Romney indeed.

This debate was the only one that could be stacked high for Zero and he couldn’t close the deal despite being the only one with “practical experience” in foreign relations policy. Mitt did what he needed to do so tose who expected/hoped for a knockout punch needn’t be so dang concerned.
