My wife and I fly a LOT. We never once went through those things but we did get patted down a lot as well.
It was a low price to pay. We won.
The vendors have been paid. The money has been made by the “right” people. The scanners are no longer needed. End of story. Now who is next on the bundler list?
What did we win? We paid for them all. They are still in use in lower traffic airports and can be put back any time they want: like after the election. They made their money. The TSA is still in business as a low-class group of government goon-lackeys and we pay for them too.
Not much of a victory.
