As a residnt of the Dayton area, I can tell you that spot in the park would hold no more thab 1000 people comfortably. There were a mere three portable toilets available. Transit authority buses were used to transport the people to the venue from the downtown area where parking is also limited, difficult to reach and expensive.
The photos I have seen on the local paper’s webpage show a crowd that was 90% African American.
I have not seen an official crowd total, nor has the information on the number of tickets available been released.
You wrote the perfect headline!
The local newspaper said 9500.
