One cold rainy Tuesday night when I was a child, my father, a WWII veteran, got home from work and immediately did a face palm. He muttered that he had to go back out and vote. I asked why bother, its cold and miserable out there .
He fixed me with a look I knew meant he was serious and said;
Because too many men better than me died horrible deaths in awful places so I could vote
Ive never missed an election.
