If WWII happened, God ALLOWED it to happen. Doesn’t mean he WANTED it to happen. If God WANTED WWII to happen He would not have commanded us not to murder. He allows people to make their choices even when it is against His will - in rape just like in concentration camps. Rape is not God’s will. Concentration camps are not His will. He’s told us that outright.

But the creation of a new life is separate from rape, and only God can create new life. Even when we manipulate all the factors to try to cause conception - in a test tube or elsewhere - sometimes life will be created and live and sometimes not. Anybody who has struggled to conceive has had to wrestle with God over why He gives or withholds the creation of life. When it happens - every time - it is a precious gift. Sometimes it causes great pain, just like a lot of things cause great pain. But life is worth pain. So many people have learned that, and learned to bless the day that God gave them better than they even knew to ask for.

Sorry.

He made an idiotic, insensitive statement.

God didn’t ALLOW WW2 to happened.

God ALLOWSs us to have FREE CHOICE. SOME people DECIDED to ABUSE that free choice by creating the circumstances which led to WW2.

The kind of argument you are making is like saying Gun Manufacturers ALLOW crime to happen because they sell guns to people who choose to use them to committ crimes.

This guy is an idiot and instead of apologizing, as Aken had the prudence to do, he REINFORCED his idiocy and insensitivity by what he said.

I don’t support abortion. As a biologist and Christian I KNOW life begins AT THE MOMENT OF CONCEPTION.

But in cases of rape or incest or to save the life of the mother I most certainly WOULD allow it. If some woman freely CHOOSES to give birth in such circumstances, that is HER choice and to her credit I suppose.

But NO WOMAN should be FORCED to bear the child of a rapist or endanger her own life in delivery.

If I had to chose between the life of my wife or an unborn child - admittedly a RARE occassion today - there is NO WAY I would agree to loose my wife.

So true...our first daughter was a miracle....our second....a long journey to a foreign land....I cannot imagine our lives without her....I thank God every day for that blessing....

As for the news item, I understand what he was stating....from a horrific act....the Good Lord can transorm and create something beautiful....it does not dismiss the evil in the act....but it also does not discount the end result because of it...

If anyone disagrees they should talk to a child born of rape...tell them they do not deserve to be alive or should be consider less precious than those born of love....
