I live in Connecticut. I voted for McMahon in 2008, and I will vote for her again this time.
Having said that.... last time she came across as one of those wealthy types who spend big bucks to buy their way into political office (a la John Corzine in Jersey) and lost after doing so. Aside #1: Blumenthal was an attractive candidate (at least to leftists), but a big time liar — the Elliot Spitzer of CT. Aside #2: at least Corzine won after spending his millions.
This time Ms. McMahon has come across as.... well, one of those wealthy types who spend big bucks to buy their way into political office. Chris Murphy is a far weaker candidate than was Blumenthal, but in liberal CT, that may not matter — he’s leading by a point or two anyway. Obama should win here (a narrow win, but still a win). I sense Murphy will get dragged across the line on Zero’s coattails.
If she loses, perhaps Linda will finally wake up and decide to save her money... :)
