The decision to not use military forces was made at 5pm in the meeting with Obama, Biden and Panetta. Dempsey’s a lap dog. If he had any honor he’d resign. The State Department flew a DC-3 into Benghazi you stinking cowards. A World War Two airplane. But you can’t send any modern jets because you just don’t know what’s going on? They had live feed that told them that our people were being shot at and burned out. They shouldn’t need to wait for a lawyerly brief as to culpability to know that those people needed help. They froze. They froze because they were afraid of looking like Les Aspin - the Hero of Mogadishu. Instead, they wind up looking worse. Aspin at least had the decency to resign.
