i never read tea leaves, polls, prognosticators, or the entrails of political pundits during an election

why?

they are no better than crystal balls and ought to be ignored

if you want to get excited about a candidate then get excited for what you know and not because of what anyone is predicting

I would rather GOPers woke up election day with a scared, angry, excited and vengeful mood than a condfident one

it should be one of “no one stay home” not “oh well it’s over”

maybe someone at Hillbuzz prefers to make their own analysis proven wrong on election day, as they look back at the exit polls and ask themselves “what happened to all those GOPers I knew were going to vote”

wake up people!!!!!!!, NOW is not the time to celebrate

Good op ed

I want the dems humiliated. I want a historical defeat so huge that it will be deeply implanted in the American democrat mindset that socialism is a losing agenda. That socialized medicine is a new “third-rail”.

I want those who voted for Obama in 2008 on the sole basis of his skin color (and I cannot think of another reason to vote for him) to realize that reverse-racism is still racism.

I want a robust and immediate post-election economic recovery that will put Keynsian economics to rest forever.

I don’t think West would be good for SOS.

Secretary of Defense is it.

But, Romney has a lot of well qualified military supporters backing him.

I agree that we cannot rest until Zero is out of office but what the pundit wrote does have some very interesting point, no?

I have been praying for God to take Pelosi, Reid, Obama, Biden, and a slew of other miscreant non-patriots out, to keep them from further causing harm. However He decides to do it is fine. We need them to be gone.

And there truly is a God. He slammed that door so nicely in Gloria Allred’s face that I know it had to sting. WooHoo!

The Romney election is a red herring. It is ion the bag for Romney. The blood and guts will occur in the fight for the senate and what happens between between Nov-January 13. This is where the real fight is and most people on our side don’t get this.

I have maintained for a year that a bag of rocks could beat The Disaster. The polls are going to be as wrong as they have ever been unless The Disaster's numbers start to plummet.

Uninstalling Obama......... ███████████████▒ 97% complete.

Bush 2 failed to weed out the Clintonistas when he got elected. Romney MUST weed out the Obamaites, where possible, or they will create havoc for his administration.

Uninstalling Obama (his people and his policies) is NOT going to be easy. They are being entrenched in agencies and departments. Extricating them will take years.

Why is it that when I read about the Barack Obama Center for Social Justice I picture a boarded up liquor store on Chicago’s West Side?

“but what the pundit wrote does have some very interesting point, no?”

if I were that pundit, I would have saved my gleeful expectations, put them in the vault with todays date on them (so I could say “I knew it”) and then tell everyone “it’s awfully dam close but we have a chance, a good chance, if all of us, ALL of us, just do our duty on election day”

actually, when I hear things like what the pundit wrote, I get angry; I just see lines of complacent, over-confident voters in the lines at the supermarket not the polls

do I care how smart the pundit is, or thinks he is? No.

does he make me more confident?

no

he makes me believe he will make too many people complacent; more than he realizes; and that does not make me confident

There is little chance that the Colonel will be in either of those posts. I don’t even know if he would think himself eligible for them. He still needs a lot of seasoning and has never been an executive has he?

Those posts would take him away from speaking out as he wishes too, which reduces his ability to educate other Blacks on a daily basis.

Not going to happen. West has one term in the House and is not a large enough figure (only here) to command any such job. I doubt he would even want an executive position at this time.

* Why is Walt Disney World already at work on a Mitt Romney figure for its Hall of Presidents when Disney didn’t make one this early for Dole in 1996 or for either Bush or Gore at this point in 2000 (and never bothered to start one for Kerry or John McCain, either)?

Ok, this was news to me so I went to see how widespread the story was. Turns out Hillbuzz cited itself, with Kevin DuJan claiming it came through his "boyfriend's" contacts at Disney.

Sorry, but I'm calling BS on this. First, this kind of lead-time is not necessary for an animatronic figure. If my experience in taking a behind the scenes tour of Disney as part of a corporate retreat in the late 1990s is still accurate, Disney keeps multiple spare animatronic chassis on hand in the case of breakage and getting a Mitt Romney one out quickly would involve little more than taking one of the spares, building a Romney "skin" for the head (this would be done by creating a master using a 3D printer and a CAD program using pictures of Romney's face from different angles and then creating the skin out of latex and plastic) and putting into a Romneyesque suite (I wonder if they'd have magic underwear underneath ...)

Altogether, I'd guess that the Disney Imagineers could crank out a spares-based Mitt Romney in a couple/few weeks. Probably quicker than that, but I'm allowing for multiple design/prototype cycles to get the head/face right (but given what the Obama animatronic looks like it doesn't seem like Disney is too detail-oriented in that area).
