Relax. Rush was simply making a playful dramatization of the fact that the polls still don't mirror the actual landslide level of Republican voter enthusiasm he sees out there.
It was the whole point of that excerpt of the program.

Amazing to see how that has progressed for Romney (and not Obama) since Oct.3! Anyone who doesn’t appreciate just what a game changer that was, and continues to be, is not playing attention.
I think he was also taking a poke at caller who, despite all of the recent positive developments, was an absolute downer—”We’re not working hard enough,” “No matter what we do the Dems will outsmart us,” etc.
