What absolutely breaks my heart the most is that the trust these men had in their country...the faith they were trained to know and believe in, was completely shattered before they died. As a troop, as a soldier, as anyone put in harms way, you are always comforted by that fact that when SHTF there are people who will come to the rescue.

Death was not instant in this case....they fought hard...fought long enough to be rescued...and it NEVER EFFIN' CAME....

Pst. Don't tell Obama I told you but what he's really worried about is you figuring out what really happened in Libya. If you understood that this administration gave weapons to Muslim terrorists (including Al Qaeda) to overthrow Gadhafi, you might be shocked.

I'm not sure where Obama was minute by minute from noon on 9-11 until noon on 9-12. But I'd love to know. And know if he slept, while his ambassador was missing.

I saw that was on his schedule, but I would never trust his schedule to mirror what happened. IOW, I don’t think he has three hours almost every day penciled in for golf, but he finds the time. For all we know, “Walter Reed” might be code for “golf.” Was he really there? I’d need witnesses, not a schedule.

And the rest of the night, was he in the Situation Room or not? When? It’s all logged in/out, I presume.

And did Obama “retire for the evening” while Ambassador Stevens was missing in Benghazi?

There was a response force sent; but it wasn't big enough nor properly configured. According to one time line a 22-man response force left the Lybian Capitol in an aircraft, flew to Benghazi, and then drove into the crises area.

22-men might be a large police response but it is a pitiful military response. I have personally worked with forces smaller than that but they had massive aerial fire power at their immediate beck and call; an 8-man team supported by a Specter gunship with extremely liberal ROEs is the smallest I would have committed to that mission.

What we saw, have seen, and will continue to see is the result of our current political leadership (D) being absolutely unwilling to pay the political price for being wrong.

When I was a young man, about the age of today's line grunts we had LBJ (D) and Robert McNamara (D) who were unable to pay a similar political bill by admitting they had no clue about Vietnam; how to win or how to get out. And how many men out of the 58,000 + on THE WALL paid for their actions?
